the ptk exam

ptk. every government officer's nightmare. it's a big joke actually.

whoever thought of this ptk exam must have been out of touch with reality. and also because he doesnt have to sit for the exam.

rule no. 1. you don't evaluate a teacher's performance by looking at the scores of the paper. you observe them in class, at how they're teaching. you dont judge them by asking them about piaget's learning theory or some particular circular dated at watever month and year.

the teachers have to sit for 2 papers - the general paper, and the teaching and learning method paper. the joke was, i blasted the 2 papers, not knowing what i was doing. i scored 4 for paper 1, and scored 2 for paper 2. my friend ina at mpm laughed when i told her my results.

those who're at DG44 voiced out their dissatisfaction over the ptk. i told one of them, i spent 5 trying years to get my masters degree, and yet i'm still stuck at DG41, and worse, have to endure the exams as well...

talk about unfairness.

for this year's paper, i was prepared. i bought the textbook and crammed like nobody's business. it paid off actually. the paper wasnt so bad, despite the fact that i had to read it in malay (only teslians will understand why i said this).

but, it still doesnt do justice to what we've been doing. we deserve better evaluation.
